Wranglers Players Deck The Halls
December 3 , 2007 – Several Wranglers players spent this past Sunday and Monday Volunteering their time at the Barnett Woods Retirement Home in Medford. Players helped the staff prepare the center for the Hollidays by unpacking and putting up Christmas decorations. Monday some Wranglers assisted even further by participating in a daily excersice with the residents. The Wranglers were invited back for Dinner with the Residents this Wednesday evening. "This was one of many local community events that we have in the works for the remainder of the season." said Terry Brett, Wranglers Community Realations Director. The Wranglers will be holding a second food drive this month as a result of the still low supply of food on the shelves at the local food bank.
Wranglers Food Drive a Success
The Rogue Valley Wranglers held their first Annual Food Drive this past weekend against the River City Jaguars. The drive was a success as the Wranglers were able to fill five rubber tubs with canned food brought in by their fans and staff members. Wranglers players delivered the food to St. Vincent DePaul early Monday morning. We would like to thank our fans for their generous donations and helping the Wranglers in the fight against hunger!
Terry Brett Takes on Second Role
The Wranglers would like to announce that Host Family Coordinator Terry Brett, will be adding the title of Community Relations Director to her repertoire. The move comes as the Wranglers push to become more involved in the Rogue Valley Community. "You can expect to see the Wranglers players out and about contributing to local causes on a continual basis from here on out." Said Brett. Terry says that the Wranglers players will be participating in volunteer programs in venues such as hospitals, elementary schools and retirement communities. You can follow these happenings by clicking on theCommunity link under Team News.
Wranglers Hold Food Drive
The Wranglers will be holding their first annual Wranglers Food Drive as a result of a recent newspaper article outlining the dwindling supply at the local food bank. Wranglers fans will recieve half price admission Saturday night Oct. 27th for donating three canned food items at the door. We hope you will join us in our efforts to fight this ever-present issue.
